Our growing logistics company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage outbound shipments. The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This position requires excellent organizational skills, physical stamina for lifting, and a strong commitment to safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments for various carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL).
- Accurately pick, pack, and label orders according to specifications.
- Verify shipping information and documentation for accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with freight carriers.
- Operate shipping software and update shipment status in the WMS.
- Conduct quality checks on packed orders before dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company and carrier regulations.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Assist with inventory management and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is preferred. Candidates must be able to handle frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and possess basic computer skills. Knowledge of shipping software and logistics processes is beneficial. A strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team are crucial.
