We are seeking an organized and meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, identifying trends, investigating variances, and ensuring that inventory data is precise and up-to-date. A keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management best practices are essential. This position plays a pivotal role in optimizing our logistics operations and reducing costs. We are committed to providing a safe work environment, requiring the proper use of PPE . Some manual tasks may involve Lifting . Strict adherence to all Safety protocols is expected. Your expertise will significantly enhance our Logistics efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with physical inventory movements, including occasional Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Support the overall accuracy and efficiency of Logistics .
- Report on inventory status and recommend adjustments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Ability to perform light Lifting and assist with stock movement.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and correct use of PPE .
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
