*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans, to assist in the diagnostic evaluation of patients. You will utilize your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
*Responsibilities*
* Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
* Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure
* Adjusts nuclear medicine equipment to correct setting for each examination; positions and instructs patients of all ages; and determines proper isotope dosage and desired time for each image
* Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients
* Monitor and watch for any unusual reactions patients may have to drugs
* Repeat image procedures from slightly different angle as prescribe by physician
* Develops film by automatic processing
* Maintain detailed procedure records
* Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures
*Requirements*:
* Associates degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine
* ARRT or CNMT certified
* Preferred to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine with experience in PET
* Current BLS
