About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker in our Bournemouth home, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each child and young adult. Your role will involve:

  • Providing flexible and individual care to our residents.
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Promoting their welfare and safeguarding their well-being.
  • Encouraging the development of their individual interests.
  • Working collaboratively with a supportive team.
What We’re Looking For

We seek individuals who are not only qualified but also possess a genuine passion for supporting young people. Here’s what you need:

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those in care.
  • Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins, on a 3-week rotation.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Residential Childcare Diploma, NVQ Level 3) or a commitment to achieve one.
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern that rotates. You will be working in a supportive environment where all staff are trained in Developmental Trauma and therapeutic parenting techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

We value our team members and offer a competitive salary structure:

  • Unqualified Salary: Base salary of £24,604.58, earning up to £32,348.58 with sleep-in shifts.
  • Qualified Salary: Base salary of £27,107.08, earning up to £34,851.08 with sleep-in shifts.
  • A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night.
  • Up to 6 weeks of holiday per year.
