SEN Class Teacher

Location: Tamworth, Staffs

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520

Contract: Full Time, Term time only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Supporting the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
• Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, while collaborating with other staff to ensure all needs are met.
• Supervising pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
• Building positive relationships with your pupils to drive interaction and achieve positive learning outcomes.

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).
• Have a strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
• Bring previous successful teaching experience.
• Possess experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Be skilled in behaviour management techniques.
• Be committed to your professional development and eager to learn.
• Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
