The RoleWe are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the vital role of foster parents. Your collaborative approach will be key in promoting meaningful supervision of placements. You will:
- Support and supervise foster parents, ensuring compliance with high regulatory standards.
- Engage with children, young people, and professionals to foster a participatory environment.
- Recruit, train, and supervise foster parents while promoting the welfare of children.
This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. A full driving license and the ability to travel across the North West are essential.
Requirements- Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering and a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, and participate in an Out of Hours rota.
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
