Your RoleAs a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide flexible and individualized care packages for our young residents.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team that values your unique contributions.
- Receive training in Developmental Trauma and therapeutic parenting to enhance your ability to support our young people.
- Support children and young people, understanding the challenges they face.
- Work a rotating shift pattern, including 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of our young residents.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with the children and young people.
- Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
- Experience working with children and young people, especially in care settings.
- Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts over a 3-week rotation.
- A willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with the goal of upgrading to Level 4.
- A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
- Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
- Competitive salary: Base salary of £24,604.58 (unqualified) or £27,107.08 (qualified), with potential earnings up to £32,348.58 or £34,851.08 including sleep-ins.
- Sleep-in allowance of £64 per night .
