Your RoleAs a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and supporting our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated support to one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils.
- Assisting the Classroom Teacher during lessons.
- Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress and concerns.
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
- Helping with lesson planning and classroom preparation.
- Building positive relationships to drive interaction and enhance learning outcomes.
- Adapting resources to meet the needs of young people.
We seek passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:
- A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in areas such as Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, or School Yoga.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
