About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Software Tester / QA Engineer
to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications, identifying bugs, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases. Identify, record, and track bugs through defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved. Conduct various types of testing: functional, integration, system, usability, performance, and security. Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle. Prepare test summary reports and maintain test documentation. Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in software testing (manual or automation). Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC. Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr. Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or Cypress (for automation testers). Solid understanding of defect life cycle and QA best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Must Have:
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger). Knowledge of SQL for database validation. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI). Basic understanding of Agile methodologies.
