We are looking for a Technical Product Owner, Embedded
Software
. This position will be based in Atlanta GA.
The Technical Product Owner will be an accomplished professional expert in the tech industry delivering software using Agile methodologies and leading teams / projects that span Embedded Devices, Cloud, and Mobile Apps. The focus being Embedded Software for EV chargers.
Ideal candidate will have the following:
Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary engineering and cross-department programs with 3rd party integrations, from concept to market delivery.
Ability to bridge the gap between Development Teams and Key Stakeholders.
Experienced in defining and following processes for high-quality software delivery (e.g., ISO-9001).
Strong proficiency in designing and implementing embedded software for Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal-based products across the complete product lifecycle.
Proven experience in Agile SW development, including roles like Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Manager, and Technical Project Manager.
Passionate about managing prioritized backlogs and delivering high-quality, customer-centric features in an Agile manner.
You’ll make a difference with:
Agile Development & Backlog Management:
Continuously prioritize and groom the backlog, breaking down high-priority features into stories for Sprint Planning and goals.
Lead Agile ceremonies (Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, etc.).
Ensure feedback from field services (issues/bugs) is prioritized on the backlog.
Multi-functional Collaboration & Requirements:
Work collaboratively with system engineers, architects, and team leads to define clear acceptance criteria and map features, stories, and test cases to requirements.
Ensure the team understands and delivers key milestones, unblocking impediments (e.g., resources, dependencies).
Software Development Lifecycle & Quality:
Define processes for delivering high-quality, secure software, covering requirements, features, stories, implementation, code review, testing, and delivery.
Champion automated testing pipelines to improve build, test, and deployment efficiency across component, subsystem, and end-to-end levels (smoke, integration, feature, upgrade, and performance testing).
Release Management:
Manage the timely delivery of software releases, including release notes, sign-off, and factory documentation.
Technical Leadership & Embedded Systems (EV Chargers):
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team in designing and implementing firmware for EV chargers, including hands-on involvement for key deliverables.
Proactively monitor EV chargers in the field to identify issues before customer partner concern.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience with the following:
Agile SW Development (Jira, Git, SonarQube, CI/CD Pipelines, etc.)
Agile SW Leadership (Scrum Master, PO, Delivery Mgr, Technical Project Mgr)
Leading software teams to deliver high quality SW on schedule
Working cross-collaboratively with other teams (Product Development, Field Services, Factory, etc.)
Embedded firmware development, including debugging tools, techniques and processes
Strong knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems including Embedded Linux and Yocto Custom Linux Distros
Proficiency in C/C++ programming language
Strong understanding of hardware/software interfaces and real-time constraints
Understanding of system design descriptions, logic diagrams and functional block diagrams, specifications, and material requisitions.
Professional communication, work ethic, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and external customers.
Ability to travel up to 10%
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development
Strong Agile Experience (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Architect)
Strong Process Experience (e.g. – ISO-9001)
Knowledge of electrical systems and power electronics, specifically EV charging solutions, is highly desired.
Technical expertise in communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, I2C, Modbus)
Technical expertise in EVSE protocols/standards (OCPP, ISO 15118, DIN 70121, IEC 61851, SAE J3105)
Technical expertise in security standards
Basic Python proficiency
