Neurologist

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a  Neurologist  to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. The hospital is part of  NYC Health + Hospitals.  Metropolitan Hospital accommodates over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with New York Medical College  to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

• Involves in-patient consultation service and out-patient clinic work as well as teaching for medical residents and medical students.
• In the Neurology department, we treat acute stroke patients with tPA - Thrombectomy cases are transferred.
• We have won the AHA/ASA GWTG (Get With The Guidelines) gold plus award in stroke for 6 years in a row!
• We have routine EEG capabilities during working hours. EEG interpretations are not required as they are read by an outside provider. EMG interpretations are not required as well as this is done by the Rehab department. 

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology
• Current NYS license (or the ability to obtain one)
• Ability to speak Spanish highly desired

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
