We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and shipping outgoing orders, ensuring all shipments meet company and carrier requirements. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to maintain efficient workflow and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments.
- Accurately pick, pack, and label outgoing orders according to specifications.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Schedule pickups with various carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.).
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure product integrity before shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina for lifting packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through proper handling and PPE usage.
