About the Role The
Senior AI Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Lead
will guide teams in designing, operating, and scaling AI/ML infrastructure and cloud platforms. This role emphasizes the strategic deployment of cloud-native, Kubernetes-based platforms to create reliable, secure, and cost-effective AI systems. In this leadership role, you will blend technical expertise with management and strategic decision-making responsibilities, overseeing distributed compute environments, GPU clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and vector-search infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security standards. Key Responsibilities Include: Leading engineering teams in AI/ML infrastructure, cloud operations, and MLOps automation.
Defining strategies for cloud, Kubernetes, and infrastructure to back scalable AI platforms.
Guiding the creation and management of distributed compute environments and GPU clusters.
Overseeing CI/CD pipelines automating model training, testing, and deployment processes.
Managing incident response and reliability engineering for AI platforms.
Leading performance testing and capacity planning efforts.
Ensuring adherence to security protocols and responsible AI frameworks.
Implementing multi-cloud resilience and automated failover for essential workloads.
Driving platform modernization initiatives and assessing third-party infrastructure tools.
Communicating system status, risks, and progress to senior leadership.
Managing a team of 4-5 direct reports with a focus on coaching and career development.
Overseeing project budgets, timelines, and quality metrics.
Collaborating with sales and stakeholders on project feasibility and strategic opportunities.
Championing continuous improvement efforts to elevate DevOps maturity.
Qualifications 7+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related fields.
2+ years in engineering leadership or senior technical roles.
Proficient in distributed cloud systems, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
Adept at troubleshooting complex infrastructure and deployment challenges.
Proficient in Python, Bash, or equivalent scripting languages.
Strong grasp of observability and reliability engineering principles.
Experience with ML or generative AI workload infrastructure.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in computer science, engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Cloud and AI certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP) are highly desirable.
Experience with Kubernetes platforms and cloud ML services.
Expertise in GPU orchestration and multi-tenant environments.
Experience with observability tools and infrastructure governance.
Familiarity with advanced deployment patterns and service mesh architectures.
Experience with generative AI and managing CI/CD pipelines related to it.
Proven ability to make strategic technical decisions under constraints.

Crowe is not sponsoring work authorization at this time. The salary range for this position is $102,400.00 - $204,100.00 annually, depending on skills, experience, and additional factors.
