Job Title: DeltaV / Senior Automation Engineer

TechNET IT Recruitment has partnered with a leading global engineering and life sciences manufacturing organisation to appoint an experienced Automation Engineer with strong Emerson DeltaV and industrial automation expertise.

This is a 6-month contract engagement supporting the design, delivery, and validation of automation systems within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role will focus on DeltaV architecture, batch automation, and lifecycle engineering, working closely with client stakeholders and project delivery teams.

• Lead the design and architecture of Emerson DeltaV-based automation systems for life sciences manufacturing environments
• Develop and review control system strategies, functional specifications, and design documentation
• Support automation delivery across the full project lifecycle, including design, build, commissioning, and validation
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based control systems
• Work within ISA-88 batch standards to support pharmaceutical and biotech production processes
• Participate in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and support validation activities including Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ)
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and project teams
• Engage directly with client stakeholders to review system design, testing, and implementation
• Support troubleshooting, optimisation, and integration of automation platforms across manufacturing environments.

• Extensive experience working with Emerson DeltaV within pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing
• Strong background in industrial automation systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA
• Experience designing and implementing batch automation xcfaprz systems aligned with ISA-88 standards
• Proven involvement in regulated project environments (GxP / GMP)
• Experience supporting SAT, IQ, and OQ validation activities
• Ability to operate in client-facing technical roles, presenting system design and test results
• Strong documentation, architecture, and system design experience

• Experience working within global pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing projects
• Knowledge of automation lifecycle engineering and system integration
• Previous experience delivering DeltaV automation solutions within project-based environments
