Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for a role in the vibrant logistics hub of Las Vegas, Nevada? We are hiring a Shipping Clerk to manage the outgoing shipment of goods. This position is key to ensuring that our products reach customers efficiently and correctly. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This role requires a proactive approach and a commitment to operational excellence within our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with carrier regulations.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure proper documentation is attached.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL).
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages to ensure they are securely packed and properly labeled.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE when required.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Handle returns and re-shipments efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar Logistics role is a plus.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform duties that may involve occasional Lifting of packages.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the use of required PPE.
