Description

Job overview and responsibilities
Coordinates the designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise standard databases based on business area requirements. Drives the identification, definition, and implementation of database backup/recovery and security strategies. Install and support DBMS (Database Management Systems) software and tools. Responsible for various database activities which include monitoring, tuning, capacity, troubleshooting, and consulting.
Translate a logical data model or user specifications into a physical design Translate a logical data model or user specifications into a physical design
Ensure detailed physical design of data structures and database compiles with enterprise standards, guidelines, procedures, and processes
Create physical database structures based on physical design for development, test, and production environments
Coordinate with systems engineers to configure servers for DBMS product installation and database creation
Act as a consultant to application development teams on DBMS product technical issues and techniques
Communicate the required downtime with the application development teams and systems engineers to implement approved changes
Install, configure, and maintain DBMS product software on database and application servers Implement monitoring procedures to maximize availability and performance of the database, while meeting defined SLA's
Ability to design, implement, and support, enterprise standard databases on business area requirements with appropriate supervision as required
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve database problems
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer science or related field
3+ years of applicable experience in the design, administration support of one or more DBMS Platforms
Experience in AWS, specifically with DocumentDB and Neptune
Experience with SQL Server, specifically with MySQL and PostgreSQL
Experience migrating databases from On-Prem to cloud; consolidating databases
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably at the right level
Works well in a collaborative setting, acting as a positive team member by contributing to discussions, developing and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-wide
Technical expert demonstrating a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in current technical/functional area, keeping up to date on technical developments, staying informed as to industry practices
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $112,480.00 to $146,540.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
