We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior IT/VoIP Field Engineer to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, deploying, and maintaining complex network and telecommunication infrastructures across diverse environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, robust security, and high availability of critical systems, empowering our organization to operate efficiently and securely. *Responsibilities*
* Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of VoIP systems, including SIP protocols and VoIP gateways, ensuring optimal call quality and system reliability
* Manage and support wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) infrastructure utilizing Cisco routers, switches, Meraki devices, and Juniper equipment
* Implement and maintain network security measures such as Cisco ISE for identity management, firewalls including Cisco ASA, VPNs using IPsec and SSL protocols, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) for threat mitigation
* Conduct comprehensive network assessments, vulnerability scans, and regular system audits to uphold security standards like PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), LDAP authentication, and cloud security protocols
* Support data center operations by managing SAN (Storage Area Network), VMware vSphere environments, high availability configurations, load balancing solutions, and server virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or Citrix
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to develop SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes for network projects while leveraging scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks
* Provide on-site technical support for network installation projects including fiber optic cabling, Ethernet setups, DHCP/DNS configurations, and remote access software deployment
* Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds or PRTG; troubleshoot issues related to routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), TCP/IP stack configurations, and network management platforms
*Skills*
* Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), TCP/IP stack management, DHCP/DNS services
* Proficiency with Cisco networking equipment such as routers, switches, ASA firewalls; experience with Meraki cloud-managed devices; familiarity with Juniper hardware is a plus
* Strong understanding of network security frameworks including Cisco ISE, PKI implementations, SSL/TLS encryption standards, VPN setup (IPsec & SSL), IDS/IPS systems
* Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere; knowledge of SAN/NFS storage solutions; experience with high availability architectures and load balancing techniques
* Skilled in operating systems including Windows Server environments; Linux distributions such as Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu; BSD variants like Solaris or openSUSE is advantageous
* Programming/scripting expertise in Python, Bash Shell Scripting or PowerShell for automation; familiarity with APIs for system integration
* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; understanding of cloud security practices and DevOps principles for continuous integration/deployment pipelines
* Ability to perform vulnerability assessments using tools like Splunk or SolarWinds; experience with network monitoring solutions including PRTG or SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
* Knowledge of telecommunication systems focusing on VoIP technologies—SIP trunking, QoS configurations for voice traffic optimization—alongside general IT infrastructure support skills
* Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities; capable of working independently in the field while collaborating effectively within team environments

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
