Responsibilities
Description
This is a
highly technical, hands-on engineering role
focused on platform development, automation, and leveraging AI to migrate and refactor legacy business logic and reporting configurations into a modern cloud architecture.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with modern cloud-native architectures, and applying AI-driven tooling to accelerate development and modernization.
Your day-to-day job will consist of: Design and build
AWS serverless components
using services such as Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and related technologies. Develop backend services and platform components using
Python, TypeScript, and SQL . Write and optimize
SQL queries for reporting and data access workloads ; experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouses is beneficial. Implement
AI-driven solutions
to extract business logic from legacy codebases and assist in generating report configuration metadata and parameter interfaces. Build systems that support
automated logic validation and migration workflows . Collaborate with the
Lead Engineer and cross-functional teams
on architecture design and platform roadmap execution. Contribute to
code quality, testing, performance tuning, logging, monitoring, and observability
practices. Participate in
design reviews and architecture discussions
to continuously improve the platform and development processes. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5+ years of relevant and related work experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience. Travel occasionally, up to 5-10%, for key moments such as team summits, training, conferences, etc., with increased frequency during peak periods based on business demands. This position is subject to company on call policies which constitutes working hours outside of the normal workday as needed. Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies. Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for backend and platform development. Strong SQL expertise, including complex transformations and data modeling for reporting workloads. Experience implementing AI-driven engineering workflows, such as LLM integrations, embeddings, or automated code generation. Experience building distributed systems, data-intensive applications, or modernizing legacy platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex business logic and legacy systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouse platforms. Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline architectures. Experience with AI automation tools, code-generation frameworks, or metadata extraction pipelines. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams. Compensation & Benefits

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $79,700 - $136,800 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
