*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We have positions open in both our Houma and Luling clinics.
*Duties*
* Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations.
* Utilize various imaging modalities, including CT, PET scans, and mammography, as needed for patient assessments.
* Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
* Ensure proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
* Document patient information and imaging results accurately in compliance with medical standards.
* Assist in urgent care settings and emergency medicine situations, providing support in Level I and Level II trauma centers as required.
* Stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology and medical imaging technologies.
*Qualifications*
* Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
* Experience in nuclear medicine, sonography, emergency room settings, or related fields is preferred.
* Knowledge of DEXA scans and their applications in patient care is a plus.
* Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes and the ability to interpret imaging results accurately.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a clinical environment.
