Your Role: Machinist

As a Machinist at DPC, you will play a vital role in our operations by setting up and operating both computer numerically controlled and manual machines. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
  • Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system.
  • Select and install the proper tooling for various operations.
  • Calculate feeds and speeds for different materials including steel, copper, and aluminum.
  • Perform quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workspace.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and a time-served background in machining.
  • Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas.
  • Strong skills in precision inspection equipment like micrometers and calipers.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to inspire and motivate your team.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts. We value a safe and clean working environment, and you will be responsible for maintaining this standard in your area.
