Seeking a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse operations in Grand Rapids, Michigan! As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics flow, ensuring that customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will work closely with inventory management and shipping teams to maintain high levels of accuracy and productivity. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in an active role and are committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order lists or scanner instructions.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and subsequent shipment.
- Operate order picking equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other machinery, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of picking areas and aisles.
- Assist with inventory counts and reporting any discrepancies.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE during all tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment within the logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order lists and pick tickets accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment is a significant advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
