Join our Fort Worth, Texas team as an Inventory Control Specialist! This role is essential for maintaining the precision and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring stock, resolving discrepancies, and implementing strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to guarantee stock accuracy.
- Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with high accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels, track product movement, and communicate inventory status to relevant departments.
- Implement and enforce FIFO/LIFO stock rotation policies to manage product shelf life effectively.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend process improvements.
- Develop and refine inventory control procedures to minimize errors and losses.
- Liaise with operational teams to ensure smooth inventory flow from receipt to dispatch.
- Uphold high standards of warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety, adhering to all guidelines and ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Provide essential inventory data to support logistics and operational planning.
- Train colleagues on effective inventory control techniques and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may include operating warehouse equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; relevant certifications or higher education are a plus.
- Significant experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Expertise in using WMS software and inventory tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Comprehensive understanding of inventory management principles and logistics operations.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
