Our Baltimore, Maryland facility is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This role is essential for ensuring that our inventory levels are precise, supporting efficient order fulfillment and reducing discrepancies. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Update inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and prevent obsolescence.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming goods, ensuring correct placement in designated areas.
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock, initiating appropriate actions.
- Assist with put-away processes, ensuring items are stored correctly.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams to maintain inventory accuracy across all operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and using required PPE.
- Support the logistics team by providing accurate inventory data for planning and decision-making.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory control measures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and WMS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a warehouse setting and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
