Are you a certified and safety-driven Forklift Operator? Our expanding logistics hub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is seeking qualified individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role is essential for managing the flow of goods within our warehouse, including loading, unloading, and storing inventory. You'll be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate movement of products while prioritizing Safety above all else. A keen eye for detail, excellent spatial awareness, and a commitment to following all protocols, including the proper use of PPE, are critical. This position is key to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other machinery to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments accurately.
- Place merchandise in appropriate storage locations within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of received and shipped goods.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure the proper and consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any potential hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks, such as order picking and stocking, as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency and Safety.
Qualifications:
- Previous professional experience operating forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Capability for physical tasks, including periodic Lifting of heavy items.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours if needed.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory control systems is a plus.
