You will work closely with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely departures. Maintaining an organized and safe shipping dock is crucial. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic logistics environment. Experience with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus. A commitment to safety is paramount; you must consistently wear appropriate PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves. The physical demands of the job involve regular lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing, and moving throughout the shift.
