Our San Francisco, California facility is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage the inbound flow of goods. In this critical logistics role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient unloading of incoming shipments, verification of packing slips against received goods, and the proper recording of inventory into our warehouse management system (WMS). You will inspect incoming merchandise for damage and report any discrepancies or issues promptly. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is a key aspect of this position. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations and timely processing of all incoming stock. Proper use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and adherence to all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE, are mandatory. The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Experience with WMS and inventory control practices is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight accurately and efficiently.
- Verify counts and condition of goods received against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Record received inventory into the WMS.
- Identify and report damaged or short shipments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving dock.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Collaborate with inventory control and other logistics departments.
