Join our team as a Warehouse Worker in Chicago, Illinois, a role critical to the efficient operation of our supply chain. You will be involved in a wide range of warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping products. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Ensuring the highest standards of Safety and efficiency is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed, following all Safety guidelines.
- Perform regular inventory checks and participate in cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE.
- Be able to perform manual tasks involving Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics processes.
- Understand and apply Safety protocols rigorously in all tasks.
- Assist with shipping preparation and loading of trucks.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse experience is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and Lifting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Team-oriented with good communication skills. Must be reliable and punctual. Commitment to workplace Safety and knowledge of proper Lifting techniques is essential. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a bonus. Understanding of general logistics procedures is helpful. Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
