We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our **Logistics** team in Richmond, Virginia. This role is vital for moving materials efficiently and safely within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and transport goods to and from storage areas. A strong commitment to **Safety** and proficiency in forklift operation are essential. We provide all necessary **PPE** and prioritize a secure working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator to contribute to our dynamic distribution center operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage and from storage to shipping areas.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately within designated locations.
- Perform routine **Safety** checks on equipment before and during operation.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all company **Safety** protocols and **PPE** requirements.
- Capability for manual **Lifting** and movement of items not suitable for forklift operation, up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in **Logistics** and warehouse operations.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift **Safety** procedures and **PPE** usage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional **Lifting**.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
