We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility. This role is key to ensuring the efficient and accurate dispatch of goods, playing a vital part in our overall **Logistics** network. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying order accuracy, managing shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace **Safety**, and adherence to **PPE** guidelines is mandatory. Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and label outgoing orders with precision.
- Verify order details against shipment contents before dispatch.
- Process shipments using shipping software and generate necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping station.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and assist with stock management.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all company **Safety** policies and the correct use of **PPE**.
- Capability to perform **Lifting** of packages up to 50 lbs as part of daily duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in a shipping, warehouse, or **Logistics** role is beneficial.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of **Safety** protocols within a warehouse setting, including **PPE** usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing **Lifting** requirements.
