Your primary responsibility will be operating a forklift to transport, load, and unload goods, ensuring smooth operations and inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Organize and arrange materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper lifting techniques when necessary and consistent use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to using required PPE at all times.
