Operate heavy machinery and contribute to efficient logistics as a Forklift Operator in Tampa, Florida! We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our busy distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport, load, unload, and stack materials. Your proficiency in forklift operation will be crucial to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring the overall productivity of our logistics operations. This position requires a sharp focus on safety, strict adherence to operating procedures, and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We expect all team members to prioritize safety above all else and to demonstrate excellent judgment while operating equipment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Perform pre-operation checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Follow all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and PPE requirements.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using PPE correctly.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
