We are looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that our outgoing shipments are accurate, timely, and meet all customer requirements. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining inventory records related to shipments. Your attention to detail is paramount in this role to prevent errors and maintain customer satisfaction. You will work within a dedicated Logistics department, focusing on the outbound flow of goods. We prioritize a secure and safe working environment, and all employees are expected to follow strict Safety guidelines and utilize provided PPE . Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
- Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy against orders and shipping documents.
- Communicate with other departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and manage inventory counts for outgoing goods.
- Ensure all packages are properly packaged and labeled for transit.
- Adhere to all company Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE .
- Assist with moderate Lifting and movement of packages as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including shipping software and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in a shipping or Logistics role preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to handle occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding and adherence to Safety regulations and use of PPE is mandatory.
