We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading shipments, organizing stock, and preparing items for dispatch. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, teamwork, and maintaining an organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Stage materials for shipment or production.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas.
- Perform regular equipment checks to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
- Collaborate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a material handler or similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts (certification preferred/required).
- Skilled in performing heavy Lifting tasks, up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and logistics principles.
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
