Our Virginia Beach, Virginia location is seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our logistics team! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse locations and preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses the energy to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment. Key duties include using RF scanners to locate products, verifying item quantities, inspecting for damage, and securely packaging orders. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering accurate and timely orders. Teamwork and adherence to safety procedures, including the use of PPE, are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects before packaging.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate boxes and packing materials.
- Apply shipping labels and other required documentation to packages.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth order processing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and RF scanner data.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capability to perform consistent lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
