Join our vibrant warehouse team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate. This critical role ensures the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing goods. You will be responsible for managing shipments, verifying contents, maintaining inventory accuracy, and preparing orders for dispatch. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles is key. This position requires a diligent individual with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to Safety. You will be involved in physical tasks, including moderate Lifting, and must consistently adhere to all company Safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We are seeking a reliable and proactive associate to contribute to the success of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status and any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Understanding of Logistics and inventory management concepts.
