Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team in Richmond, Virginia, as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on the efficient movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and staging goods using various material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to Safety, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and a proven ability to handle physical tasks such as Lifting. This position is a key component of our Logistics chain, ensuring that products move seamlessly through the facility. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
  • Receive and accurately store inventory.
  • Pick and prepare materials for outgoing orders.
  • Conduct routine checks on equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, following Safety guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Ensure adherence to all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
  • Support overall Logistics functions by ensuring material availability.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Certification on relevant equipment (e.g., forklift) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with Logistics processes and inventory management.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to using PPE correctly.
