We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Provo, Utah. This crucial role involves managing the final stages of order fulfillment, ensuring that all shipments are accurately documented, processed, and prepared for dispatch. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, verifying shipping information, and maintaining shipping records. The ideal candidate has excellent administrative skills, a strong understanding of shipping procedures, and a commitment to accuracy and safety. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and addressing.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify that all orders are correctly packed and labeled before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records, logs, and inventory data.
- Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding shipping status and inquiries.
- Operate shipping software and equipment, such as printers and scales.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company shipping policies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE when required.
- Assist with receiving functions as needed, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and general office applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics procedures is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
