We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is vital for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing, documenting, and dispatching goods, playing a key part in our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy.
- Verify contents of shipments against orders and documentation.
- Create shipping labels, manifests, and other necessary paperwork.
- Coordinate with various carriers to schedule pickups and manage delivery timelines.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Handle and pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as needed.
- Must be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a shipping or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and shipping software.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics and shipping procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Dedication to upholding Safety standards in the workplace.
