Join our dedicated team as a Shipping Clerk in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! We are seeking organized and reliable individuals to manage the accurate preparation and dispatch of outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include verifying orders, packing items securely, labeling packages, and coordinating with shipping carriers. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. Safety is a top priority; you will be required to follow all warehouse Safety protocols and wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting and handle packages of various sizes and weights. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments accurately.
- Pack orders with appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label all packages correctly with shipping information.
- Schedule pick-ups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Conduct daily checks of shipping supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the shipping area remains clean and organized.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is beneficial.
- Ability to perform regular Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
