Our dynamic logistics center in Nashville, Tennessee, is looking for a proficient Material Handler to join our dedicated team. This role is integral to our daily operations, focusing on the efficient movement, organization, and management of materials within the warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring that inventory is handled properly, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials neatly in storage locations.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE consistently.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
- Support other warehouse functions as directed by logistics management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong physical ability, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs and prolonged standing.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
