Our busy distribution center in Portland, Oregon, is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. Your expertise ensures the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse, contributing directly to our overall logistics success. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime.
- Comfortable working in various temperature conditions.
