Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist for our Cincinnati, Ohio facility. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through rigorous auditing, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics operations, minimizing stockouts and overages. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a meticulous approach to detail. You will work closely with warehouse management, receiving, and shipping teams to maintain optimal stock levels and identify areas for process improvement. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to analyze data, and a commitment to upholding strict inventory control procedures. While not a primary function, occasional tasks may involve some light Lifting (up to 25 lbs) to access or move inventory for counting purposes, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory in all warehouse areas. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper item identification and location.
  • Generate inventory reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to optimize inventory accuracy and flow.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and strong MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics operations.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and use PPE correctly.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
