In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and speed directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional service. We are seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and the consistent Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. You will utilize handheld scanning devices to ensure order accuracy and track inventory movements within our logistics system. Collaboration with fellow team members to meet daily picking targets and contribute to overall warehouse efficiency is key. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or handheld scanner.
- Locate items in the warehouse and retrieve them efficiently.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain awareness of inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily picking productivity goals.
- Collaborate with packing and shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 40 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety standards and the correct use of PPE.
- Comfortable using handheld scanning devices.
