Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Fort Worth, Texas! This dynamic role is central to our warehouse operations, managing the crucial inbound and outbound flow of goods. You will be responsible for processing all incoming shipments, verifying contents, and accurately stocking inventory, as well as preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring they are correctly documented and dispatched. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are vital for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics department. We prioritize a safe working environment, providing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforcing strict safety guidelines. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform regular moderate lifting, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing shipments using the warehouse management system.
- Stage inventory for put-away and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Pick, pack, and label orders according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer systems and warehouse management software.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
