Join our dedicated team as a Material Handler in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your work is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is organized, accessible, and transported correctly to support production and order fulfillment. We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a firm commitment to Safety. You will operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, to move, stack, and store goods. Regular inspections of equipment are part of the job to ensure optimal performance and Safety. The role requires physical stamina for tasks involving frequent lifting and maneuvering of heavy items. Prior experience operating forklifts and handling materials in a warehouse setting is highly preferred. You will work closely with other team members to maintain a productive and organized workspace. Adherence to all Safety protocols and the consistent use of appropriate PPE are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials properly to ensure stability and accessibility.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all Safety regulations.
- Ensure the proper and consistent use of all required PPE.
- Follow all established logistics procedures for material handling.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve operational goals.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting up to 60 lbs, pushing, and pulling.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to work quality.
