Are you organized and ready to manage inbound and outbound shipments? Our Tampa, Florida logistics hub is seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and preparing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining records. Your duties will include verifying outgoing orders against invoices, preparing shipping documents, scheduling carrier pickups, and coordinating with loading dock personnel. This position is critical for the smooth flow of our logistics operations. You will need excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computer systems, including shipping software and basic office applications, is essential. Experience with warehouse management systems is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify all outgoing shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure that all shipments are accurately labeled and contain the correct documentation.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading of trucks.
- Maintain organized records of all shipping activities.
- Assist with receiving processes as necessary.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments within the logistics process.
