Our Atlanta, Georgia facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This role is vital for maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient order fulfillment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating variances, and implementing corrective actions. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory management. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management software. A solid understanding of **logistics** and warehouse operations is highly desirable. **Safety** is paramount in our operations; therefore, adherence to all **PPE** guidelines and safe work practices is mandatory. While not solely a physical role, some **lifting** may be required, typically not exceeding 30 pounds. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, processing inventory adjustments, and generating reports on inventory status and discrepancies. You will also be involved in identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommending disposition strategies. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify areas for process improvement and contribute to operational efficiency. A minimum of one year of experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role is preferred. High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus.
