Our busy warehouse in Tampa, Florida, is looking for a reliable and energetic Shipping & Receiving Associate. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are processed correctly and that all outgoing shipments are prepared accurately and on time. You will be a key player in managing the flow of materials, maintaining warehouse organization, and supporting our distribution network. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a focus on safety and efficiency. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Process and document all incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
- Prepare, stage, and load outgoing shipments according to carrier requirements.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Properly use all required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed, including cycle counts.
- Perform heavy lifting of products up to 70 lbs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse work.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform physical duties, including significant lifting and prolonged standing/walking.
