We are seeking a highly organized and efficient individual to manage the preparation and dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with carriers, accurately documenting shipments, and ensuring that all packages meet our quality standards before leaving the facility. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills to liaunt effectively with internal teams and external partners. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be instrumental in maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our distribution network. We prioritize Safety above all else and provide comprehensive training, along with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a secure working environment. While the role is primarily administrative, some physical tasks, including moderate Lifting of parcels, may be required. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Generate and affix shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests.
- Maintain meticulous records of all shipments sent.
- Conduct final quality checks on packages before dispatch.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management regarding shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and wear provided PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks when necessary.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our Logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or Logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and general computer skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle occasional Lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and consistent use of PPE.
