Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills? We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Diego, California. This position is fundamental to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is critical for efficient logistics and customer satisfaction. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, stock adjustments, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your work will directly support the smooth flow of goods within our facility. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices is essential. You will utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory data. A strong commitment to Safety is non-negotiable, and you must adhere to all Safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While this role may involve less direct physical labor than other warehouse positions, there may be occasional Lifting required. We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to their work.   • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Manage stock adjustments and reconcile inventory levels in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock rotation and minimize waste.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs to ensure adequate stock availability.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the correct use of PPE in inventory areas.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales teams to address inventory-related issues.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory records, both physical and electronic.
  • Support the development and implementation of new inventory control processes.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical effort, including occasional Lifting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
